HIGH DEFINITION SIGNAL RECEIVER FOR TELEVISION SIGNAL

PURPOSE:To remove the interference applied to the current television receiver by converting th frequency of a high frequency component of a luminance signal as high definition information by using a sub-carrier and receiving a composite video signal added to a high frequency of a wide band signal. CONSTITUTION:The received signal is separated to YL and the high frequency component Y'H of a color difference signal and the luminance signal by a luminance and chrominance signal separating circuit and the color difference signal and the Y'H are demodulated by synchronization detectors 13, 14. One of the detectors 13 separates the wide band Q signal and the Y'H and they are further separated into the Q signal and the Y'H by a high pass filter 15 and an adder 19. The frequency of the Y'H is converted into the Y'H by a shift circuit and added to the YL by an adder 21 to obtain the luminance signal of a high frequency. Thereby, even in case of receiving this signal by the present television receiver, the interference applied to the luminance signal by the sub- carrier is hardly increased.
