<p>Opening apparatus (10) suitable for instance for opening jar or bottle lids. The apparatus (10) comprising a lower part (12) with four recesses (18) to locate opening tools (20). A downwardly converging frusto-conical portion (26) with a rubber lining (28) is provided to grip items located therein. The upper part (14) is locatable on the item to unscrew a closure thereon and comprises a upwardly converging frusto-conical rotatable member (36) with a ribbed lining. A motor is provided in the upper part (14) to rotate the engagement part (36).</p> |
