A pool brush 1 includes a hydrofoil 5 moving on a hinge 4. The hydrofoil provides downforce on the surface being brushed regardless of the direction of the pool brush pulled or pushed. Adjustable front and rear stops 6, 7 allow the amount of downforce to be adjusted and to compensate for larger and deeper pools. The hydrofoil also creates a method for laterally steering the pool brush by twisting the handle 9.
