PURPOSE: A temperature-compensated crystal oscillator and method for adjusting the output frequency are provided to reduce a device size by inserting a film resistor between laminated substrates and trimming the film resistor through bottom substrate with laser beam. CONSTITUTION: A temperature-compensated crystal oscillator(150) provided with a crystal oscillator and at least one element for a temperature compensation and oscillation circuit includes a top substrate(152) mounted thereon the crystal oscillator and at least one element and a plurality of stacked substrates(151) formed thereon a conductive pattern on at least one substrate and a planar thin film resistor(159) placed at the lower substrate(151c) among the plurality of stacked substrates(151a,151b,151c) for adjusting the output frequency of the temperature compensated crystal oscillator(153).
