PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an output signal from including a reception error by appropriately correcting a DCD (Duty Cycle Distortion) caused in the output signal of a switcher device depending on its operation. SOLUTION: Period correction sections 11a to 11d correct the DCD of a prescribed amount for an image signal sent through output lines 22a to 22d depending on a received correction value. Further, the waveform shaping apparatus 1 receives data and various control signals such as a WR signal to control the connection switching operations of the switcher 2 and an address signal, a memory section 12 stores in advance a proper correction value depending on the operation of the switcher 2, and outputs a proper correction value with respect to any of the period correction sections 11a to 11d depending on the received data and address. The memory section 12 outputs the correction value through any of D-FFs 13a to 13d selected by an address decode section 14 according to the received address to any of the period correction sections 11a to 11d, where the DCD correction is set.
