Spatial detection of incorporated radioactive preparations is performed using a trough-shaped collimator positioned near a patient's skin. Spatial detection of incorporated radioactive preparations is effected by: (a) positioning, near the skin of a patient, a trough-shaped collimator with detectors for determining the dose or pulse density of radio-pharmaceutical radiation from a measurement object; (b) using the detectors to detect the emitted radiation, each volume element of the object being covered by at least three measurement beams; (c) back-projecting the data; (d) performing an iterative reconstruction, in which the data set is corrected for distance and attenuation; and (e) using the determined volume data set for further image processing of the object. An Independent claim is also included for a measuring system for the above method.
