PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel capable of applying a suitable tension to a fishing line with a centrifugal force by rotation of a rotating frame during winding of the fishing line and having good operating efficiency. SOLUTION: This spinning reel for fishing is provided with a pair of cylindrical contact parts 11a and 11b contacting both sides of the fishing line on the outside of a fishing line guide outer peripheral surface of a line roller 11. A space between fishing line contact surfaces is formed so as to contact on the rear side and separate on the front side so that a guide gap between the fishing line contact surfaces between the contact parts 11a and 11b is formed into a nearly V-shape. The cylindrical contact part 11b is slidably provided on the supporting shaft of the line roller 11 so that the cylindrical contact part 11b can be brought into contact with the cylindrical contact part 11a. The spinning reel is urged in the contact direction with an urging means 16. In the spinning reel, one cylindrical contact part 11b slidably provided in the supporting shaft of the line roller 11 and urged in the direction to contact the other cylindrical contact part 11a with the urging means 16 is arranged on the side of a bail arm lever 10b.
