<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new type capstan which is capable of vertical translation. <P>SOLUTION: The capstan 10 is provided with a base 12, a rotary frame 14, an outside frame 16, and a plurality of shafts 20 to 36. The rotary frame is supported by the base in order to turn about an axis 64, and the outside frame is supported by the rotary frame in order to translate along the axis. The shafts extend from the outside frame in the crossing direction with respect to the axis. The capstan has an axial actuator 150 in order to translate the outside frame along the axis with respect to the rotary frame. By this configuration, the shafts is capable of ascending and descending. Consequently, an operator can adjust the height of the shafts so as to be suitable for inserting or removing knives and spacers 40 without carrying out additional lifting or bending of the shafts. Any pusher 180 is capable of operating so as to automatically slide tools in the range between the capstan and a slitter unit 52. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
