<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone response assisting apparatus and method that enable accurate identification of a speech opposite party without producing a large scale database. SOLUTION: The telephone response assisting method receiving transmitted voice data to identify a caller of the voice data, recognizing the received voice data, specifying contents to be replied, and making a voice reply to the caller, inquires of a caller database for storing information with respect to at least the caller and history information with respect to opposite parties of the caller, and identifies the communication opposite party corresponding to contents of the voice data sent from the caller on the basis of the information with respect to the caller and the history information with respect to the opposite parties of the caller.</p> |
