PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic transfer sheet having a stable surface electric resistance independently of environmental humidity, excellent in toner transferring performance and free of tear or deformation of paper due to water and peeling of a toner layer. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic transfer sheet has a support comprising polypropylene-base synthetic paper and an image receiving layer formed on at least one face of the support, wherein the contact angleΘof the image receiving layer to water and the rateαof change of the contact angleΘsatisfy the formulaeΘ1 >=20 deg. andα<=0.2( deg./sec) in the case ofα=(Θ1 -Θ60 )/59( deg./sec), whereinΘ1 is contact angle after 1 sec after dropping water andΘ60 is contact angle after 60 sec after dropping water. A synthetic hectorite clay mineral and a crosslinked binder are included in the image receiving layer.
