PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously supply a coiled highly brittle alloy wire, such as a Zn-Mg-Al alloy wire to thermal spraying equipment at a uniform speed. SOLUTION: The Zn-Mg-Al wire W in a fiber drum 5 is smoothly pulled out from the fiber drum 5 upward by means of a wire-pulling device 6 through a wire-pulling guide 8 attached to a fixed cover 7. A hot-air generator 1 and a thermocouple 12 for measuring temperature are attached to the fixed cover 7 via a temperature controller 9. By this constitution, the temperature inside the fiber drum 5 can be set to 50±5 deg.C and the temperature of the Zn-Mg-Al wire can be maintained at about 50 deg.C by heating, by which the brittleness of the wire can be improved.
