PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic continuous and random access analytical system having an apparatus and a method capable of performing simultaneously multiple assays of a liquid samples by using respective different assay methods, enabling continuous and random access, and capable of performing multiple different assays to the same or different samples during the same time, and a method for operating the automatic continuous and random access system capable of performing simultaneously various assays on a plurality of liquid samples. SOLUTION: In this method, various assays of the plurality of liquid samples are scheduled. Then, a unit dose disposable is generated without initiating an assay reaction sequence, and a first liquid samples and a reagent are transferred separately to a reaction vessel. Then, the unit dose disposable is physically transferred to a treatment workstation. Hereby, a unit dose disposable reagent is mixed with the specimens during the incubation. |
