PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to positively view and listen to a broadcast program always viewed and listened by the user. SOLUTION: A program selection state, for example, the program selection state for plural weeks located in a station selection means 1M is stored in a channel history memory 105. A channel history writing means 100 makes the channel history memory 105 to successively store the program selection state located in the station selection means 1M. Stored contents in the channel history memory 105 are examined to determine the presence or absence of a program selected with a frequency above the prescribed frequency. When the presence of the program preferred by the user is detected from the determination, the signal of the program preferred by the user is recorded on a disk recording medium.
