摘要 PURPOSE: An adhesive film for encapsulation of an electroluminescence display and an encapsulating method using the adhesive film are provided to improve the productivity by using an adhesive film in which a metal film is coated with a polymer adhesive layer to simplify an encapsulation process. CONSTITUTION: An adhesive film(30) is comprised of a metal film(36) and polymer layers(32,34). The polymer layer(32) is an adhesive layer and the polymer layer(34) is a polymer insulating layer. The adhesive layer(32) is adherent to a device substrate and comprised of a polymer having a low melting point of 100 to 200°C, preferably 100 to 150°C. The polymer insulating layer(34) is coated on the polymer layer(32) for preventing an electrical short between encapsulating materials including an electrode and a metal film of a device. The polymer insulating layer(34) is made of a polymer having a melting point of 100 to 300°C, preferably 200 to 300°C. The metal film(36) is coated on the polymer insulating layer(34) for preventing the penetration of oxygen and moisture into an encapsulation surface and improving thermal conduction. The metal film(36) is made of aluminium, stainless steel, copper, and nickel.
