The plate (110) comprises three layers. A heated central layer (111) is of a material with high heat conductivity and is sandwiched between two outer layers (112,113) of another material. A face (114) of one of the outer layers forms the punch face. The plate can be rectangular, circular or preferably square with a side dimension of 300 mm.
