PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve inconvenience to carrying or housing in lengthy umbrellas as the length of a shaft is larger than that of a canopy. SOLUTION: A double stage type shaft 20 is assembled into the lengthy umbrella 10 and the shaft 20 is extended when the umbrella is unfolded while when it is folded, the shaft is reduced to a specified length.
