PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery holder wherein surrounding parts do not contact the electrodes of the battery. SOLUTION: If the battery 1 is loaded in the battery holder, a peripheral face side of the plus electrode 1b of the battery 1 is exposed between respective battery retaining pieces 11. However, because between the respective battery retaining pieces 11, respective terminal mounting parts 14 and respective side wall parts 15 are erected and installed in the neighborhood of the peripheral face of the battery 1, a direct contact of the plus electrode 1b of the peripheral face side and surrounding electronic parts or the like is inhibited by the respective terminal mounting parts 14 and the respective side wall parts 15.
