摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of a spring adjustment work and the safety of the works by smoothly, surely, and efficiently performing operations of fastening and releasing a lock mechanism of a coil spring by wrenches in a shock absorber for an automobile. SOLUTION: A pair of spiral rings 6 and 6 having lock flange edges 4 integrally formed in one edges and notch engagement parts 5 in their circumferential surfaces are oppositely screwed and fastened to a cylinder 3 with the respective lock flange edges 4 and 4 facing to the outside to lock the lower end part of the coil spring 8. This constitution can prevent deviation of the turning operation by the wrenches 10 and 10 in locking and releasing the coil spring 8 so as to prevent it from releasing from the screw rings 6 and 6.
