PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device minimizing clogging of a particulate filter and avoiding abnormal rising of an exhaust pressure without taking large-scale countermeasures such as a bypass pipe, even when the clogging occurs. SOLUTION: In regard to the exhaust emission control device provided with the particulate filter 4 in a filter case 7 in a midway part of an exhaust pipe 3, by not sealing front and rear ends of a passage of an outer circumferential side of the particulate filter 4 and opening them, an opened passage 8 allowing free passage of the exhaust gas 2 is formed, a temperature drop in an outer circumferential part of the particulate filter 4 is suppressed, and a flow velocity distribution of the exhaust gas 2 is uniformized. |
