PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in using a portable game machine as a controller of a TV game machine wherein a player looking the portable game machine in a sleep mode to misunderstand as the turn-off state of the power and erroneously operates the power. SOLUTION: When there is no operation by a user for a prescribed of time, the portable game machine demands the TV game machine a sleep permission and enters into the sleep mode by receiving the sleep permission. On the other hand, when the TV game machine receives the demand of sleep from the portable game machine, CPU replies the sleep permission to the portable game machine in a step S402. When returning the sleep permission (step S403), the CPU displays a message on a display in a step S404 to notify the user that the portable game machine is operated in the sleep mode at present. This screen display is continued (step S405) till the portable game machine returns from its sleep mode. |
