PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security in the course of access to information protected by authentication. SOLUTION: This information processing system is configured by a data base 11 for accumulating organism authentication data showing the biological characteristics of each user as teacher data, a data base 21 for accumulating information to be protected, and a computer 3a for processing the information of the data base 21. In processing the information of the data base 21, the data base 11 is retrieved according to a user ID input by an input means 31, and the obtained teacher data is stored in a storage means 33 of the computer 3a. An authentication mans 35 performs authentication by timely comparison with the fingerprint data input by a fingerprint reading means 34, and only the authorized user is permitted to process the information of the data base 21. Thus, when each user leaves a computer such as leaving his seat in the course of processing the information accumulated in the data base 21, an authentication error is decided by the authentication means 35 so that the information is not processed by the others than the authorized user. |
