PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress spots in brightness as much as possible for a plane luminous device of an edge light system with the whole body curved. SOLUTION: With the plane luminous device structured with a stick lamp arranged near and along an end face of a transparent plate, a plurality of cross-section V-shaped grooves fitted at the rear face of the transparent plate in parallel with the end edge at the lamp side, and also with a reflecting layer and making lamp light incident from the end face of the transparent plate emit from the surface of the transparent plate, the angle of an opening face of each V-shaped groove of the transparent plate 1 and a slant face 21 of the lamp side gets gradually or step by step smaller the nearer the lamp 4 the groove is, and the transparent plate 1 is curved within the plane crossing the grooves so that the reflecting layer 3 be of a concave face, whereby, a point far from the lamp on a luminous face can be made nearly as bright as a point near the lamp. |
