Method for speech controlled access to an information system in which a digital assistant generates spoken requests to help a user and converts spoken instructions from a user into commands for a computer system. The digital assistant analyses the spoken instruction of a user to generate satisfaction indices for itself and for the user. Dependent on the satisfaction indices speech output and vocabulary are selected. The invention also relates to a corresponding spoken user interface to a computer system.
