PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer in which high quality printing can be sustained and printing can be performed without causing any deterioration of a recording medium even if UV radiation intensity is increased. SOLUTION: The ink jet printer A comprises rollers 1a and 1b for carrying a sheet-like recording medium R, a recording head 21 performing printing on the print face of the recording medium R being carried by the carrying rollers 1a and 1b by ejecting UV ink, and a member 4 for guiding the recording medium R being printed by means of the recording head 21 in the carrying direction D while supporting from the nonprint face side opposite to the print face. The ink jet printer A further comprises a temperature control mechanism for controlling the temperature of the recording medium R being printed by means of the recording head 21 to a target set temperature. |
