PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a water-stopping sheet which can give by means of high-speed molding a water-stopping sheet excellent in resistance to external damages and low-temperature flexibility. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for a water-stopping sheet comprises a random copolymer rubber comprising ethylene, anα-olefin and 7-methyl-1,6- octadiene manufactured using a group IVB transition metal catalyst-based catalyst containing a group IVB transition metal catalyst component such as a specific zirconium catalyst component or the like, a vulcanizer and a filler, where the copolymer rubber has an ethylene/α-olefin molar ratio, an iodine value, an intrinsic viscosity [η], an intensity ratio D of Tαβto Tααin the<13> C-NMR spectrum, a B value which is an index indicating the distribution state of each monomer and a glass transition temperature, each in a specific range.
