METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR GENERATING MPEG-4 CONTENTS

PURPOSE: A method and a system for generating MPEG-4 contents are provided to automatically convert a scene produced by a user into MPEG-4 scene description and generate object descriptors. CONSTITUTION: A scene tree composed of objects included in a produced scene is generated to obtain information about the scene, and scene description corresponding to the produced scene is generated on the basis of the information(400). Object descriptors including object identifiers, object types, media encoding information and object sizes with respect to media objects including images, sounds and video contained in the produced scene are generated according to a predetermined object descriptor generation rule(410). The generated scene description and object descriptors are converted into binary streams(420). The scene description stream and object descriptor stream of the binary streams are multiplexed into one binary stream to generate MPEG-4 stream(430).
