摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a display defect or contrast lowering in a liquid crystal panel by providing a technique to uniformly and stably form an alignment layer in the case of forming it on an electrode formed on one of substrates in a method for manufacturing the liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: Wiring 212 and a TFD (thin film diode) element 213 are formed on the one substrate 211 out of the substrates constructing the liquid crystal panel. A pixel electrode 214 composed of a transparent conductive body is formed on the substrate 211. Subsequently substances attached to the electrode surface are removed by subjecting the surface of the pixel electrode 214 to glow discharge processing. Subsequently the element substrate is constructed by forming the alignment layer 215 on the pixel electrode 214.
