PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently adsorb foreign matters such as dust and dirt, and pollen from the outside of a mask, and also, a hold a sufficient amount of moisture by which a user can inhale wet air for a long period of time, and ensure air- permeability by which the user does not feel a suffocating feeling. SOLUTION: For this filter 1 for mask, moisture is held by a sheet material 4 which includes at least a water-absorbent nonwoven fabric 2 which contains a water-absorbent fiber, and a hydrophobic nonwoven fabric 3. The water- absorbent nonwoven fabric 2 contains the water-absorbent fiber. For the sheet material 4, the air permeability of the water-absorbent nonwoven fabric 2 is set to be 15 cc/cm<2> /sec to 80 cc/cm<2> /sec when a liquid is held in the water- absorbent nonwoven fabric 2, and the liquid-containing ratio is set to be 15 v/v% to 90 v/v%. |
