PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas meter to which peripheral equipment can be attached easily and which has an excellent appearance. SOLUTION: This gas meter has a box-like main body 1 having a flowing-in port 11 and a flowing-out port 12, both of which are connected to gas piping, on its top face and a displaying section 13 which displays the amount of a gas used on its front face. The main body 1 is provided with fitting means, for example, L-shaped hooks 15a and 15b, a T-shaped hook 25, etc., to which a peripheral equipment enclosure 2 which houses the peripheral equipment of this gas meter is fitted are provided on its bottom face.
