PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polymer film water electrolysis device designed so that clamping force of each bolt which clamps a stack laminate through a flange becomes constant, and as the result, the pressure biased throughout the stack laminate becomes even. SOLUTION: The solid polymer film water electrolysis device is formed by forming a stack so as to hold a solid polymer film bonded to an electrode between a pair of positive and negative power supply body, forming a laminate so as to laminate the stack through a separator to make multi-layer stack structure, holding the laminate body with a flange from upper side and lower side, and clamping with a plurality of clamping screw between the flanges. An electrode is formed in elongate rectangular shape, and the ratio of the electrode short side to the long side is set to be about 1 to 3 or more, and the clamping force of the clamping screw of the flange in long side direction central portion of the electrode is set to be greater than the clamping force of the clamping screw of the flange in long side direction outer side of the electrode. The separator is formed with one separator which extends along the flange, and an electrolytic cell is separated to right and left on the one separator and made two or more plural division structure to laminate. |
