PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a liquid crystal display device having high display quality, wherein a reflection plate having satisfactory reflection properties can be manufactured easily and with good reproducibility. SOLUTION: A positive photosensitive resin is applied on a substrate. A first area of the photosensitive resin is exposed to form recessed and projecting parts on the surface thereof and a second are of the photosensitive resin is exposed so that the integrated value of exposure light quantity is more than that of the first area to form recessed parts having a remaining film quantity less than that of the first area.
