<p>Small cross-section fiber-reinforced composites are used as reinforcements for concrete. The composites, which are preferably longitudinally oriented continuous fibers embedded in a thermoplastic matrix, are mixed into the wet concrete and poured with the concrete to form a reinforced concrete structure.
