PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toe core for a safety shoe which is used for lightening and cost reducing by simplifying the manufacturing process, and a safety shoe using the toe core. SOLUTION: The main body 2 of this toe core 1 for a safety shoe is constituted of quenched stainless steel. It is preferable to use stainless steel with a composition containing 17-20 mass% of Cr and 7-10 mass% of Ni and the rest substantially comprising Fe.
