An endoscope transportation device comprises a tray (10) having a downwardly-dished, inner endoscope compartment (11) , and a disposable tray-liner (20) for use in conjunction with the tray (10). The tray (10) is defined by a generally planar base (12) with surrounding walls (13) upstanding therefrom, which are smoothly curved at each end so as to merge imperceptibly with one another and with the base (12). Peripheral lip portions (16) are provided around the walls (13). The liner (20) has a pouch (21) which conforms itself to the contours of the underlying tray (10), and a protective cover (30) which in use extends across the open-face on the liner pouch (21) supported in the endoscope compartment (11) and is suitably but detachably secured to an opposite edge thereof so as safely to enclose and protect a flexible medical endoscope contained within the endoscope compartment.
