PURPOSE: A method and a device for connecting a network using proximity communication are provided to enable the proximity communication with a wireless terminal, so as to connect the network and use the Internet. CONSTITUTION: A wireless terminal enters an area in which recognition signals are receivable(600). The wireless terminal operates a browser(605). Whether a recognition signal is received is checked(610). If not, the wireless terminal operates an RF(Radio Frequency) communication module using an existing wireless Internet connection method(615), and a network is connected through a mobile communication network(620). And if received in the step 610, the wireless terminal operates a proximity communication module(625), and transmits terminal identification information including an ESN(Electric Serial Number) and an MIN(Mobile Identification Number) to a proximity communication connection device(630). The proximity communication connection device stores the ESN and MIN(635), and transmits a network connection complete signal to the wireless terminal(640). The wireless terminal transmits an IP(Internet Protocol) address of a server for connection to the proximity communication connection device(645), and the proximity communication connection device stores the IP address of the server(647). The proximity communication connection device transmits a contents information request signals including the server IP address and a self IP address to the server(650). The server extracts contents corresponding thereto(655) and transmits the contents information to an address corresponding to the IP address of the proximity communication connection device(660). The proximity communication connection device extracts terminal identification information corresponding to the IP address of the server(665). The wireless terminal receives the corresponding contents(667), and the browser of the wireless terminal displays the contents(670).
