OPTICAL SYSTEM AND WIRING INFORMATION COLLECTING METHOD

Information on the wiring connection of optical fiber cables is collected/managed automatically, not manually, to improve the efficiency and convenience of the wiring work. An optical system (1) comprises optical devices (10a) and (10b) and an optical management device (20) and controls optical communication. The optical devices (10a) and (10b) with connectors (Ca) and (Cb) having the same identifier are connected to optical fiber cables (F). Identifier reading units (11) of the optical devices (10a) and (10b) reads the identifiers when the devices are connected through the optical fiber cable (F). An identifier reading unit (21) instructs the optical management device (20) to read the identifiers. A wiring information collecting unit (22) collects information on the wiring connection of the optical fiber cable (F) according to the identifier recognized.
