PURPOSE: A refrigerator with a kimchi compartment is provided to store kimchi at optimum condition. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator includes a storage space including at least one of a freezer compartment(2) and a refrigerator compartment(4); a kimchi compartment(10) independently formed on one side of the inside; a chilled air generating unit generating chilled air supplied into the storage space or the kimchi compartment; and a kimchi compartment duct(12) supplying the kimchi compartment with chilled air generated by the chilled air generating unit. A temperature sensor(16) is installed on one side of an inside of the kimchi compartment to sense temperature therein.
