<p>The invention relates to a surface-treated Al/Zn alloy-coated steel sheet, onto which a coating is applied, which contains an acid amide bond-containin g resin as a major constituent. Said coating can be with or without chrome. Sa id steel sheet can have a coating free from chrome, which contains the followin g components A, B and C: A) a water-based resin, containing carboxyl groups an d acid amide bonds, B) one or several metal compounds, selected from the group including Al, Mg, Ca, Zn, Ni, Co, Fe, Zr, Ti, V, W, Mn and Ce compounds and C) a silicon compound. Such a steel sheet has an excellent alkali-resistance, cold-rollability and corrosion resistance. Said invention also relates to a surface treatment agent, free from chrome, for metal sheets, characterized i n that said agent contains the following components A, B and C: A) a water-bas ed resin, containing carboxyl groups and acid amide bonds, B) one or several metal compounds, selected from the group including Al, Mg, Ca, Zn, Ni, Co, F e, Zr, Ti, V, W, Mn and Ce compounds and C) a silicon compound.</p> |
