PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed electric compressor facilitating the keeping of the perpendicularity of a sleeve fixed to a sealed case by welding. SOLUTION: This sealed electric compressor comprises an electric element and a compression element driven by the electric element, which are provided within the sealed case 12, wherein a refrigerant sucked through a refrigerant inlet pipe is compressed by the compression element and discharged through a refrigerant discharge pipe. This compressor further comprises the sleeve 142 mounted in conformation to a through-hole 171 formed on the curved surface of the sealed case, to which the refrigerant inlet pipe or refrigerant discharge pipe is connected. A flat surface 173 is formed on the outer surface of the sealed case around the through-hole, an insert part 174 to be inserted to the through-hole and a butt part 17b located in its circumference to abut on the flat surface of the sealed case are formed on the sleeve, and the butt part of the sleeve is fixed to the flat surface of the sealed case by projection welding.
