PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve various performances of an automobile including accelerating performance and fuel consumption performance by reducing rotational resistance. SOLUTION: An outer ring 2 is fixed to a support hole 29 arranged in a knuckle 1a, and a constant velocity universal joint 6a is joined to a hub 3 supported on the inner diameter side of this outer ring 2. A shaft directional outside end opening part of a bearing space 26 is blocked up by a first seal ring 9 fitted in and supported by a shaft directional outside end part of the outer ring 2. A shaft directional inside end opening part of a detecting space 27a is blocked up by a seal ring 28 fitted in and supported by a shaft directional inside end part of the support hole 29. Labyrinth clearance 36 is arranged by closely opposing the outer peripheral edge of an encoder 7a fitted around a shaft directional inside end part of an inner race 4 to a shaft directional inside end part inner peripheral surface of the outer ring 2 to prevent grease in the bearing space 26 from being washed away to the detecting space 27a side. A washing-away preventive seal of this grease is formed of a noncontact type labyrinth seal to attain the purpose.
