PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable which can suppress the shrinkage of a jacket, has moderate rigidity to easily be bent and has excellent flame resistance. SOLUTION: In the optical fiber cable, anti-shrinkage bodies 5 are arranged on both sides ends of an optical fiber ribbon 2 surrounded by a tension fiber 3, and the outer circumference is integrally covered with a jacket 4 consisting of a plastic. The ratio of the sum of products (ES)t of Young's modulus E of the entire anti-shrinkage bodies and the cross section area S to the sum of products (ES)j of the Young's modulus E of the entire cable jacket including the anti-shrinkage bodies and the cross section area S is made larger than the threshold value. Thereby, the shrinkage of the jacket 4 is suppressed, and the flexural rigidity of the entire cable becomes sufficiently small to cable weight, and the ratio of the flexural rigidity of all anti-shrinkage bodies occupied in the flexural rigidity of the entire cable becomes sufficiently large. Accordingly, the optical fiber has the moderate rigidity to easily be bent. Because the outer circumference of the anti-shrinkage bodies 5 is baking-coated with a thin adhesive agent layer 6, the optical fiber has excellent flame resistance.
