PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for preventing the fall-down or breakage of a crawler crane. SOLUTION: In mounting/demounting a side frame, the crawler crane is jacked up by a jack cylinder 6. Pressure sensors 6b, 6r mounted on the jack cylinder 6 detect the mounted condition of the side frame such that the side frame exists or not and is grounded or not. A controller 20 estimates the mounted condition of the side frame in accordance with the detection result of the pressure sensors 6b, 6r and outputs a command signal to a moment limiter 21 for selecting a rated load curve corresponding to the mounted condition.
