OPTICAL FILTER MODULE, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

An optical filter module having a multi-layered film filter inserted in a path of an optical waveguide. A precise V-shaped groove is formed on a main surface of a flat substrate so that an optical fiber protrude. The optical fiber is mounted on the flat substrate, and the multi-layered film is inserted in a filter insertion groove formed across the V-shaped groove on the main surface of the flat substrate, and sandwiched by two upper covers to fix and mount the filter. Thus, it is possible to provide a mounting method of high accuracy in which the number of steps for optical axis adjustment between the input and output optical fibers is reduced, and the position of the inserted filter is little deviated.
