PURPOSE: An engine RPM control method of a vehicle is provided to achieve improved operating ability of engine, while preventing a knocking phenomenon and engine speed flare during deceleration. CONSTITUTION: An engine RPM control method of a vehicle comprises a first step(S510) of detecting an initial starting state of an engine; a second step(S512) of comparing a throttle valve opening value with a preset value and judging whether the throttle valve opening value is higher than the preset value, if an initial starting state of an engine is not detected in the first step; a third step(S514) of calculating an uphill learning value and a downhill learning value in accordance with the throttle valve opening value, if the throttle valve opening value is higher; and a fourth step(S516) of performing an engine control operation by the learning value calculated in the third step.
