PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of a comparator with hysteresis. SOLUTION: An input transistor Q1 turns on when a base voltage (input signal) of the telephone Q1 is higher than the total voltage of a reference source voltage V1 plus a VBE of a reference transistor Q1 and a VBE of the input transistor Q1. With the transistor Q1 set on, a control transistor Q5 turns on to result in a voltage drop VCE. When the total voltage of the voltage drop VCE plus the VBE of the transistor Q1 is lower than the input signal voltage, the transistor Q1 turns off and no current flows with Q1 set off.
