PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio relay system for selecting a radio relay apparatus for relaying the communication among pieces of radio apparatus from a plurality of pieces of radio apparatus, to provide a radio apparatus and a node selection method. SOLUTION: In the radio relay system where a plurality of radio systems comprising a plurality of pieces of radio apparatus that function as a relay node that performs relaying or a terminal node that does not perform relaying, each radio apparatus solves the problem by carrying a function for judging whether the radio apparatus functions as the relay node at predetermined time or as the terminal node.
