The device has a tire valve (14) arranged in a bore in the rim (10) and a tire pressure sensor unit (16) arranged inside the tire and fastened in various angular positions with respect to the tire valve. An electronic connection exists between the sensor unit and the tire valve. An antenna is provided for the tire valve for communicating with a receiver/transmitter arranged outside the tire.
