PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a face area easily extractable from the image of a person including the face, and to make the person easily confirmable. SOLUTION: The image of a person including the face recorded on a memory card 12 is displayed on a liquid crystal monitor 14. Designation of at least one reference point on the face area is received by an input means 15, and the face area is extracted from the image displayed on the monitor 14 with the designated reference point as reference. A minimum rectangular area including the extracted face area is set on the image displayed on the monitor 14, and is expanded such that the minimum rectangular area fits a screen size of the monitor 14. The expanded minimum rectangular area is displayed on the monitor 14. |
