PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a ribbon sheet efficiently while avoiding waste. SOLUTION: A printer control section 70 feeds a ground paper of seal printed with standard colors to a print section 74. When a decision is made that image data edited with a special color exists at a part printable by means of a print head 75 through single print operation, the printer control section 70 controls the print head 75 to print the ground paper of seal only once and further controls a ribbon control section 76 to feed a ribbon sheet by an amount being used. When a decision is made that image data edited with a special color does not exist at a part printable through single print operation, the printer control section 70 controls the ribbon control section 76 to prohibit feeding of the ribbon sheet. Consequently, the ribbon sheet can be used efficiently while avoiding waste.
