PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron tube device which is capable of being operated without an electrical source applying a negative bias voltage to a controlling grid. SOLUTION: This electron tube device comprises an electron tube having at least an anode 2, a filament 3 and a controlling gird 4, a positive electrical source 7 applying a positive voltage to the controlling grid 4, a direct current high voltage electrical source 6 which applies a direct current high voltage between the anode 2 and the filament 3, and an insulated transformer 5 which supplies a heating current to the filament 3. Here, a semiconductor switch 8 is connected between a terminal of the filament 3 and the negative pole of the positive electrical source 7 and then switch-on/off of the electrical tube is made by switch-on/off of the semiconductor.
